FAQ

How do we get going?

Where are you located?

It depends on whether we’re meeting online or in person.

Given today’s environment, virtual sessions are part of the game. Please know that healing/coaching sessions are just as powerful when conducted online.

But most of my clients are in the Greater Boston Area, and we meet safely in the office with masks. For privacy reasons, I’ve chosen to wait until setting up an appointment to send the exact directions. For your reference, we are conveniently located in Quincy, Massachusetts, right off 93 at Exit 8 (Furnace Brook Parkway).

What are your hours of operation?

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM (last appointment is booked for 5 PM).

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are two hours long. Some clients finish earlier, but this allows enough time to do the deeper work.

What is your cancellation policy?

There will be a $75 charge if I receive less than a 24-hour notice of cancellation.

Do you accept insurance?

As a healing arts coach and alternative medicine practitioner, I do not accept insurance.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

The first step is to schedule your free 30-minute consultation.

This is where we assess if we’ll be a good fit for each other. It’s also a time to ask questions and get a feel for my process. We’ll also go over my packages during the consultation and see if I can help you.

What should I expect when working together?

How do your services work?

The work we do together is about transformation. We begin with exploration. We’ll look at what’s holding you back, any trauma we need to integrate into your program, and outdated beliefs you’ll want to face.

Then we start creating your new story. The work is highly interactive, and your day-to-day mindset and emotional landscape will be what we’re studying and working with to create lasting change.

With whom do you work?

I work with adult individuals and children. I tend to attract high-performers or those who are ready to integrate their past and live life fully. I also work with folks experiencing medical mysteries or complex trauma.

With what ages do you work?

My clients are seven years old and up.

What are the sessions like?

We begin with talking. You’ll have adequate time to share what’s going on, how the last sessions have taken hold, and what your next goals are.

From there, you will lie down, and we’ll start the BodyTalk portion of the work. This includes tapping, EMDR, and whatever comes up as directed by your body/mind complex.

What modalities do you use?

I use BodyTalk, talk therapy, pranic energy, and psychedelic psychotherapy.

What is your training and professional experience?

I got my Bachelor of Fine Arts (in performance) from Naropa University, a Buddhist psychology school in Boulder, 2007.

I’ve also been a certified meditation and yoga teacher since 2002.

Currently, I’m enrolled in BodyTalk and Psychedelic Trauma Psychotherapy at the Psychedelic Somatic Institute.

Are there assignments between sessions?

Yes, clients enrolled in my Amma Human Coaching Program will receive coursework between sessions to ensure proper integration of the work. If you’re only doing the healing sessions, there is no homework.

How do I prepare for my first session?

There are a few things you should know about working with me.

First, I would like you to come in with an open mind. Let your mind slow down so we can expand into what’s beneath the thoughts.

Second, I ask that you respect my professional boundaries. This means coming to your appointment on time. I understand if things happen, but it will eat into your time. Respect the space between us as sacred and trust the process, even when it is challenging.

Third: transparency. In our work together, you’ll sometimes be reminded of past pain. The best way to work through what comes up is to talk openly about what’s happening. So, I ask for radical transparency between us.

Lastly, I hold an unconditional space for you. So, whatever comes up in our sessions is okay. It’s sacred. I will not judge you.

Are you the best coach for me?

Get to know Megan…

Should things be a certain way in life, or should you just go with the flow?

I believe we should value certain things like integrity, trust, kindness, and respect. Having good manners is up there for me, too. If people don’t show up with these character traits, it can make it difficult to sustain lasting relationships.

But overall, I believe it’s best to keep your heart light and let life and relationships just flow. So, if you’re not getting what you want, communicate it, and then move on in the relationship.

Cry or laugh?

Definitely both… preferably at the same time! LOL

Tears are medicine in my world, and I’m honored to hold a space where people can let go of what comes up. So, it’s perfectly fine to cry in my office, but I strive to create the type of environment where people laugh.

Cats or dogs?

Both (now that I have met the two most amazing cats on the planet).

Read or watch TV?

Both. I read a ton. But I also find television rewarding and helpful after a lot of mental and emotional rigor.

Best book of all time?

That’s too big of a question. It would depend on what’s happening in life at a given moment – what I’m going through or studying. My current read is The Body Keeps the Score.

Best quality in a friend or business alliance?

I would say it’s the ability to create a space of safety and trust between two people – with a penchant for laughter, of course!

Best way to show up for the people in your life?

Have high expectations of yourself and low expectations of others. I have to practice this daily.

Meg Silva

“Megan was pivotal in helping me integrate a traumatic loss, weaving together somatic interactive coaching, energy work and talk therapy. The combination of modalities kept things fresh, and while the nature of trauma work is heavy, it was tempered by Megan’s bright character and earthy charm. Despite the circumstances, we laughed a lot and I always left feeling lighter. Megan’s rich skill set, paired with her undeniable intuition, offers a unique vantage point and she ices the cake with poise, eloquence and, above all, humanity.”

“During the manifesting workshop, Megan led us through the best-guided meditation I've ever experienced!! Her soothing voice helped me lift off completely into a beautiful "astral travel journey"-Incredible!!!

Blown away, I've been telling everyone I talk to about it. I loved it so much that I'm planning on having her come to my home to lead a few friends in a private healing workshop.

With much gratitude!! 💜"

“Megan's authenticity, patience, and ability to make one dive a little deeper within are essential for guiding individuals through somatic trauma work. Releasing past trauma through the physical body or the neurological system has proven to really be that next step in my healing process and shifting into the higher self.

Somatic trauma work has resulted in me feeling more relaxed and comfortable within my own body. This work is truly very different than any other work I have done in the past. A different sense of healing is occurring with Megan. The sensation of something being pushed out of the body and releasing me from past traumatic events. This work has really helped me move into a different light.

Megan's guidance, love, and support are unmatched by anyone I have worked with in the past."

Mathew Thompson
Breathwork Coach

“Megan helped me make headway with issues that traditional therapy wasn't tackling...

Initially, I was struggling with severe BFRB, body-focused repetitive behaviors. Within one month, using her coaching and mindset work I had tackled it. I was quite amazed, I never thought that I would stop...

She helped me create a bridge and navigate a difficult time with my oldest daughter. For three years the relationship had been strained and it was so tough for me. Megan coached me on what to say and now we're back as tight as we were before..."

“I have known Megan Marini for a very long time and she continues to bring miracles into my life. She stood by me during the time after an intense injury when many of my friends didn't know how to handle it. She helped me get from thinking I didn't have the courage to pursue a legal case against the individuals who hurt my head and neck in a medical situation to having a powerful attorney support me and help me believe in myself and my ability to conquer this challenge through her healing practices and optimistic attitude to make miracles happen. Because of Meg, I will have an answer in a future secured in my optimism and my ability to live an amazing life despite this setback.”
